Axiom-4 Mission launch gets postponed to 11 June due to bad weather

Axiom Mission 4, scheduled to get launched aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station on 10 June, has been postponed to 11 June, citing bad weather.

The mission crew include India's Indian Air Force pilot Shubhanshu Shukla, along with three other crew members. The mission was supposed to be launched from LC-39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre on 10 June at 8.22 am ET.

Aim of Axiom Mission 4:

The aim of the Axiom Mission 4 includes orbit the laboratory and undertake a mission focused on science, outreach, and commercial endeavours.

Duration of Axiom Mission 4

The crew of the mission was expected to arrive at the ISS on 11 June around 10 pm IST, following an almost 28-hour journey. The mission is planned to continue for 14 days.

Axiom 4 crew members:

The Axiom 4 crew comprises members from India, Poland, and Hungary. each one of them represent their country’s first mission to the space station in history and the second government-sponsored human spaceflight mission in over 40 years. The crew members are Peggy Whitson, Shubhanshu Shukla, Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski and Tibor Kapu.
