The Indian cricket team will tour Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series in July 2026, two years after their last tour to the African country. The BCCI announced the full schedule of the tour on Wednesday.

The Men in Blue will face Zimbabwe in the first T20I on 23 July, before facing off in the second T20I two days later. The third and final T20I will be played on 26 July. All the three matches will take place at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.

Zimbabwe are also scheduled to travel to India in January 2027, when the two teams will play a three-match ODI series. Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai will host the three India-Zimbabwe ODIs, respectively.

India, led by Shubman Gill, had toured Zimbabwe for a five-match T20 series in July 2024. The Men in Blue lost the first T20I by 13 runs, but went on to win the series 4-1 after winning the remaining four matches.

India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, recently defended the T20 World Cup title, beating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

Zimbabwe, who defeated Australia and Sri Lanka in the group stage, qualified for the Super 8 stage after ending the group stage unbeaten with three wins.

Their match against Ireland in Pallekele was abandoned due to rain. Zimbabwe, however, were knocked out in the Super 8 stage after losing all their matches, which included a 72-run loss to India in Chennai.

Prior to the Zimbabwe series, India are scheduled to play a one-off Test and a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan (Home), two T20Is against Ireland (Away), five T20Is and three ODIs against England (Away). Each of these series will take place after the IPL, which will conclude on 31 May.

The series against Zimbabwe is an opportunity for India to rotate their squad and try out fringe players.
