At a rally held in Alipurduar, West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged every citizen of India to contribute towards the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). Emphasising the need for collective effort, he highlighted the various challenges currently facing Bengal and stressed the importance of working together to secure the state’s future.

Speaking candidly about the prevailing issues, PM Modi remarked, “Various problems plague Bengal currently; we have to work together to secure the state’s future.” He further criticised the state’s governance, stating that Bengal suffers from corruption and deplorable attacks on mothers and sisters, underscoring the urgency for change.

Addressing recent communal unrest, the Prime Minister cited the incidents in Malda and Murshidabad districts as stark examples of the cruelty exhibited by the present regime in Bengal. He condemned the violence and attributed it to the failure of the ruling dispensation to maintain law and order.

PM Modi also asserted that the people of Bengal have lost faith in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, expressing a clear desire for an end to what he described as a “cruel government.” He accused the current administration of indulging in appeasement politics, allowing hooligans to operate with impunity, particularly in Murshidabad.

Assembly Elections in BJP are scheduled to be held in 2026.
