British MP Bob Blackman on Thursday reaffirmed his support for India and urged the UK government to stand firmly with New Delhi in its fight against terrorism.

Blackman made these remarks while speaking in Parliament, where he also spoke about his meeting with the all-party delegation of Indian parliamentarians. He had previously supported India’s military action, Operation Sindoor, and criticised Pakistan as a “failed state" for its alleged support of terrorism.

In his address, Blackman said he discussed the fragile truce between India and Pakistan with the all-party delegation, warning it could be broken by further terrorist attacks.

“This week, I met a cross-party delegation of Indian MPs. We discussed the fragile truce between India and Pakistan, at risk of being broken by further terrorist attacks. As India seeks deeper security ties with the West, I urged the Govt to stand with India against terrorism," the British leader wrote in a post on X.

The delegation, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, is visiting Europe as part of India’s diplomatic outreach following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives.
