Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday denied reports suggesting that Israel “dragged the US into a conflict with Iran", calling them “fake news."
“This canard that we dragged the United States into this is not just a canard it’s ridiculous. Does anyone really think that someone can tell President (Donald) Trump what to do? Come on," he said, adding that Trump “always makes his decisions on what he thinks is good for America."

He also praised the “close coordination" between Israel and the US in the war, saying, “We are achieving goals in lightning speed."
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin further said that Iran no longer has the capacity to enrich uranium or make ballistic missiles after 20 days of US-Israeli air attacks.
Addressing a press conference, he said, “We are winning, and Iran is being decimated." He said Iran’s missile and drone arsenal is being massively degraded and will be destroyed.
“What we’re destroying now are the factories that produce the components to make these missiles and to make the nuclear weapons that they’re trying to produce," he said.

However, Netanyahu did not provide any evidence to support his claim that Iran no longer had the capacity to enrich uranium.
Netanyahu asserted that Iran “is weaker than ever" while Israel is a regional power “and some would say a world power, adding that the campaign against Tehran would continue for “as long as necessary."
Meanwhile, Iran launched another wave of missiles even as Netanyahu was addressing the press conference, with the Israeli military also reporting that fresh projectiles had been fired towards the country.
Netanyahu also said Israel acted independently in carrying out the strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, adding that Donald Trump had urged restraint on similar attacks. He said Israel would pause any further strikes on the key natural gas facility at Trump’s request, stating, “President Trump asked us to hold off on future attacks, and we’re holding out."
“The death cult in Iran is trying to blackmail the world by closing a key international maritime route, the Strait of Hormuz. It won’t work," he added.
