CNN Medical Analyst Urges Congress To Examine Trump’s 'Fitness’ After Latest Stunt

CNN medical analyst Jonathan Reiner on Monday called for a congressional inquiry into Donald Trump’s “presidential fitness.”

Reiner, who previously served as cardiologist to the late Vice President Dick Cheney, pointed to Trump’s recent letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre as the reason.

In the letter, Trump appeared to tie his escalating rhetoric about seizing Greenland for the United States to the fact that he did not win the Nobel Peace Prize last year.

“This letter, and the fact that the president directed that it be distributed to other European countries, should trigger a bipartisan congressional inquiry into presidential fitness,” said Reiner on X, the Elon Musk-owned social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“The president seems to be struggling with excessive daytime somnolence,” Reiner wrote on X. “Repeatedly falling asleep with a dozen people surrounding your desk is not normal. It needs to be evaluated.”
