Colombian Senator Miguel Uribe, who was in the running to join next year’s presidential race, was shot during a political rally in Bogota, according to police. Shocking videos emerged online showing Uribe addressing the crowd when he was hit by a bullet.

Bogota Mayor Carlos Galan said Uribe was rushed to hospital and was receiving emergency care, and the “entire hospital network" of the Colombian capital was on alert in case he needed to be transferred, reported CNN.
