Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei called for greater unity among Muslim nations while sharply escalating rhetoric against the United States and Israel amid rising tensions in the Gulf region. In a message posted during the annual Hajj season, Mojtaba Khamenei urged Islamic countries to strengthen cooperation with Tehran and work collectively to address challenges facing the Islamic world.

“I, with sincerity and purity of intention, invite all Islamic countries and governments to friendship and cooperation in goodness, so that, by working together, we may take steps towards the advancement of the Islamic Ummah and the resolution of the Islamic world’s problems," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Mojtaba Khamenei also delivered strong anti-US and anti-Israel remarks, describing Israel as a “cancerous tumor" nearing its “final stages." He said slogans against America and Israel would become increasingly prominent across the Islamic world.
“Death to America and death to Israel will be the common slogan of the Islamic nation and the oppressed of the world, especially the youth," he said in his Hajj message.

The remarks came after Mojtaba Khamenei warned Washington following recent military flare-ups near the Strait of Hormuz. Reacting to reported US strikes targeting Iranian missile launch positions and maritime assets, he said regional territories would no longer remain a “safe haven for mischief" for American military operations.
The Pentagon defended the strikes as acts of “self-defence" but the escalation raised concerns over the stability of the fragile ceasefire and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a broader regional conflict.
Mojtaba Khamenei also called on Iranian pilgrims attending Hajj to promote what he described as the “victory" of Iran in the ongoing regional confrontation and to encourage hope for a “bright future" for the Islamic world.
He concluded his message by praying for Muslim unity, the “liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque" and “final victory against global arrogance."
