Donald Trump has joked about likely not making it to heaven.
Fox News’ Peter Doocy on Sunday asked the president on board Air Force One, as he headed to Israel, if he thought his plan for peace between Israel and Hamas “would help” him access the great beyond.
“I’m being a little cute,” Trump replied. “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven, OK? I really don’t.”
“I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound,” he added. “I may be in heaven right now as we fly in Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to make heaven but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people.”
Last week, Trump suggested there’s “no reason to be good” apart from showing God you can “go to that next step,” presumably meaning heaven.
In August, he confessed to Fox News that he was “really at the bottom of the totem pole” with his chances of making it to the hereafter. He also talked that same month about there being “some kind of a report card up there someplace.
Last week, a photo went viral for the way in which it appeared to show Trump with devil horns.
