Praising the “enormous accomplishments" achieved in the conflict with Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday said that Tehran no longer poses an existential threat to the country amid the ongoing war. He stated that the combined Israel-US effort was “systematically crushing" the Tehran government while eliminating existential hazards to the Jewish state.
Addressing the public in Hebrew on Tuesday evening prior to the Passover festival, Netanyahu said Israel has “achieved enormous accomplishments" in its ongoing campaign against Iran and its regional allies.
“Israel is stronger than ever," Netanyahu said, adding, “Iran can no longer threaten our existence."
“The entire world hears our lion’s roar in our struggle against the evil regime in Iran, a struggle in which we have achieved immense, enormous accomplishments," Netanyahu declared.
Netanyahu’s remarks came amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, with continued exchanges of fire across multiple fronts. He added Israel has significantly weakened Tehran by carrying out a series of strikes, alongside the United States, targeting Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missile capabilities and regional proxy forces.
Invoking the Passover narrative, he stated that Israel has “dealt ten plagues upon the axis of evil".
He listed strikes against Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Assad government in Syria, militants in Judea and Samaria, and the Houthis in Yemen, alongside five specific strikes against Iran.
According to Netanyahu, the operations targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, missile production capabilities, regime institutions and security forces, as well as senior officials and scientists. He said Iran had invested nearly $1 trillion in its military buildup, including nuclear and missile programs, and claimed that investment has now been “wasted".
The Israeli Prime Minister added that Israel is working to form new regional alliances in response to the Iranian threat, though he did not provide details.
He further claimed that Israeli strikes and internal unrest have destabilised Iran’s leadership, saying the regime has been shaken and could eventually fall.
