Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on Monday that Iran is a strong and historically rich nation, with a cultural and civilisational heritage far surpassing that of countries like the United States, adding that it will never surrender to any foreign powers.

“The Iranian nation is a great nation; #Iran is a strong and vast country; Iran possesses an #ancient_civilization; our cultural and civilizational wealth is hundreds of times greater than that of America and the like," he said.

“The expectation that Iran would #surrender to another country is one of those absurd statements that will undoubtedly provoke the ridicule of wise individuals," added Khamenei.
