Flight tracking data from the Finnish Air Force reserve officer pilot course showed that at least four flight patterns resembled the shape of a penis.

What was supposed to be a routine training exercise in Finland became an eyebrow-raising spectacle after cheeky cadet pilots appeared to form penis-shaped trajectories on radar tracking maps.
The incident took place on April 13, when students of the Finnish Air Force reserve officer pilot course were carrying out training flights, as per reports. Flight data shows several aircraft taking off from Tikkakoski near the city of Jyväskylä in central Finland.
The flight trajectories were visible on the Flightradar tracking service. After the planes departed at around 7:30 am, radar images showed that at least four of the flight routes resembled the shape of a penis.
The Finnish Air Force confirmed to YLE, the Finnish Broadcasting Company, that the pilots involved were cadets undergoing training and said they could face disciplinary action. An Air Force spokesperson said the flights were part of standard manoeuvre training within a designated airspace.
“The aircraft remained in the training area assigned to the flight mission and performed the exercises given in the flight mission assignment. The aircraft did not deviate from their route," the spokesperson said in an email to YLE.
The Air Force has launched an investigation into the incident, but no further details have been released. “The Air Force requires soldiers to follow good manners and rules of conduct, and if these are deviated from, it will be responded to in an appropriate manner," read a statement.
In 2023, a Lufthansa pilot flew a plane full of passengers in a flight pattern that resembled a penis on radar, reportedly in frustration after being asked to divert the flight to a different airport. Pilots have faced discipline for similar flight incidents in recent years, including in 2019 when two US Navy officers decided to create a phallic drawing, referred to as “Sky Penis", according to Fox News.
