Amid ongoing tensions linked to the Iran conflict and its impact on global energy markets, Donald Trump has said that fuel prices could drop sharply once the situation stabilizes.

Speaking about the economic fallout of the conflict, Trump suggested that gasoline prices remain elevated primarily due to geopolitical uncertainty. He argued that while other commodity prices have begun to ease, fuel costs continue to reflect instability in the region. According to him, an end to the war could trigger a significant decline in oil and gasoline prices worldwide.

Trump also linked the crisis to broader security concerns involving Iran and its nuclear ambitions. He stated that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is critical to global stability, warning that such a development would put the world “in great jeopardy." At the same time, he expressed confidence that the situation would not escalate to that point.

“Other prices are way down, but gasoline’s high. But when this is over, you’ll have a world without a nuclear weapon with Iran. If you allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, the world would be in great jeopardy. So it’s not going to happen. As soon as the war ends, the gasoline prices will come down," Trump told reporters.

The remarks come at a time when the global energy market is facing volatility due to supply disruptions and uncertainty surrounding Middle Eastern oil exports.
