President Donald Trump’s dormant vodka brand is returning to sale.
And California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) popped the cork on his own spoof alcohol line in a taunting response on Thursday.
Newsom, a frequent Trump critic who in recent weeks has taken to mockingly mimicking the president online, shared on social media what appeared to be an AI-generated image of a bottle of “Newsom Wine.”
“COMING SOON,” the governor captioned the picture.
Eric Trump, the teetotal president’s son, teased the revival of Trump Vodka on social media this week, posting a “coming soon” image of the bottle on Instagram.
The brand was first launched in 2005 amid a flurry of Trump-themed ventures, many of which were doomed to failure, and shut up shop in 2011 amid sluggish sales.
The new incarnation of Trump Vodka will be distilled and bottled in the United States, according to its Facebook page.
It’s “The Great American Spirit,” said its website.
