'He's Sweating Now': Activists Install Arrest Photo Of Ex-Prince Andrew Inside Louvre Museum

Activists installed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest photo at Louvre Museum following his detention in Norfolk.

A British activist group installed a framed photograph of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at the Louvre Museum in Paris on Sunday, days after his arrest.

The UK-based anti-billionaire group, Everyone Hates Elon, hung the image on a gallery wall inside the museum and placed a caption beneath it reading, “He’s Sweating Now."

The photograph shows Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, seated in the back of a Range Rover shortly after leaving a police station in Norfolk.

The younger brother of Britain’s King Charles was detained on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office and remained in custody for approximately 11 hours before being released.

The group posted the footage of the stunt on Instagram with the caption that read, “They say ‘hang it in the Louvre’. So we did."

“Hanging p̶r̶I̶n̶c̶e̶ Andrew’s arrest photo in the louvre. Seeing a disgusting abuser finally face a bit of justice? That’s priceless," the group wrote in a separate Instagram post while sharing the image of the framed photograph displayed on the museum wall alongside other pictures.

Another clip circulating online showed museum visitors reacting with amusement and taking pictures before staff removed the display roughly 15 minutes later.

Speaking to Reuters, the group members said the installation was intended to symbolise how history would remember the former royal. “We thought we’d show the former Prince Andrew how the world will remember him by putting up this iconic arrest photo at the Louvre," the group said, adding, “Let’s hope this is just the start. Justice for all Epstein survivors."

The activist group describes its activism as targeting wealthy elites through provocative public actions. In the past, the group displayed controversial posters in east London mocking Elon Musk and Tesla.

Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest came after the release of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein by the US government. Among the released materials were emails allegedly indicating that the former royal shared confidential information with Epstein during his tenure as a British trade envoy.

Meanwhile, he has denied any misconduct related to Epstein and has previously expressed regret over their association.
