US President Donald Trump said he is examining Iran’s latest proposal, adding that he has only been told about the “concept of the deal" so far.

Speaking to reporters, he said the exact wording is yet to be shared with him. “I’m looking at it… I’ll let you know about it later," he said.

The ceasefire between the United States and Iran continues to remain uncertain. In a social media post on Saturday evening, Trump said he was reviewing the proposal but added he “can’t imagine that it would be acceptable".

A day earlier, the president had said he was “not satisfied" with Iran’s latest offer. Iranian state media reported that the proposal was sent to Pakistani mediators on Thursday evening.

On restarting military strikes against Iran, Trump said, “I can’t tell that to a reporter. If they misbehave, if they do something bad – but right now, we’ll see. It’s a possibility that could happen, certainly."
