The Indian Embassy in Tehran has urged Indian nationals still in Iran to leave the country immediately using routes coordinated with the mission.

The Embassy of India in Tehran has issued a fresh advisory urging Indian nationals still present in Iran to leave the country at the earliest, citing recent developments in the region.

The advisory comes in continuation of an earlier communication issued on April 7.

“In continuation of the advisory of 07 April 2026, and in light of recent developments, Indian nationals still in Iran are strongly advised to expeditiously exit Iran, in coordination with the Embassy and using the routes suggested by the Embassy," the advisory stated.

The embassy emphasised the importance of coordinated movement, indicating that citizens should remain in contact with officials while planning their departure from the country.
