The United States has agreed to temporarily waive Iran’s oil sanctions during negotiations as part of the new peace proposal, according to a source cited by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency.
The agency, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team, reported that Washington’s latest proposal included a temporary waiver of sanctions on Iran’s oil sector.
Iran has demanded the removal of all sanctions against the country as part of the US commitments. However, the US has proposed a waiver of OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions until a final understanding is reached, as per the report.
