Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran is prepared to destroy more planes if Washington returns to war, adding a renewed confrontation will feature “many more surprises".

The comments follow U.S. President Donald Trump’s warning that Iran has “two to three days" to reach a peace deal with Washington.

Citing a US Congressional Research Service report that acknowledged the “loss of dozens of aircraft worth billions", Araghchi said on ‘X’: “Months after initiation of war on Iran, US Congress acknowledges loss of dozens of aircraft worth billions. Sharpening his rhetoric against the U.S., he added: “With lessons learned and knowledge we gained, return to war will feature many more surprises."

Trump’s Fresh Warning

On Wednesday, U.S. President Trump claimed efforts were underway to resolve the ongoing conflict with Iran. However, he warned Washington could launch fresh strikes if negotiations failed.

“We’re blowing it away. We’re blowing everything away. And we’re going to end that war very quickly", he said, claiming Tehran wants to make a deal “so badly".

“This should have happened for 47 years. Somebody should have done something about it. And it’s going to happen, and it’s going to happen fast."

‘Oil Prices Will Plummet’

As the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to disrupt energy supplies worldwide, Trump said the oil prices would come down soon.

“You’re going to see oil prices plummet. They’re going to come down. There’s so much oil out there. They’re going to come plummeting down," he said.
