Iran has said its missiles struck Israel’s largest oil refinery in Haifa, a facility linked to India and Israel, in an attack that could trigger major economic and defence losses for Israel.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted the Bazan Group oil refinery in Haifa Bay on Saturday using Kheibar Shekan solid-fuel ballistic missiles.
According to the IRGC, the strike was carried out in retaliation for recent US-Israeli attacks on Iran’s energy sector.
Iran said those attacks included strikes on oil depots around Tehran.
