Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th Birthday Book Reveals His Elite World Of Perversion

In a drawing included in the book given to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003, the late wealthy pedophile is depicted handing balloons to three little girls in 1983. The drawing then shows Epstein reclined on the beach being massaged by figures who are, presumably, those same girls in 2003. “What a great country!” it says.

That sums up the common theme that friends of Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial for trafficking underage girls, shared for his 50th birthday. The book includes some letters one would characterize as normal birthday wishes, including from former President Bill Clinton. But many, if not most, of the birthday wishes submitted to Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted Epstein accomplice and former girlfriend, for the book shared pictures, stories and remembrances of a lewd and sexual nature. Together, they paint a picture of a man obsessed with sexual conquests, which his friends and acquaintances were all too familiar with.

That included President Donald Trump, who submitted a letter with a drawing of a disembodied female torso with his signature below where the crotch would be and a cryptic text discussing secrets and enigmas. The letter from Trump, which he denies creating, is not at all out of place in the birthday book filled with tales of sexual exploits, nude pictures, drawings of women’s breasts and pictures of women in bikinis or underwear, including Epstein’s “assistants.”

The drawing of the girls from 1983 to 2003 was in a section of the book the index attributed to Joel Pashcow, a longtime member of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Immediately after it is a letter featuring Pashcow, Epstein and a woman whose identity is obscured holding a fake oversized check for $22,500 from Trump. The letter jokingly states that Epstein is selling the “fully depreciated” woman to Trump. Pashcow has not commented on Epstein in the past and did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

These salacious and sometimes gratuitously perverse letters shine a light on an elite world of perversion that encircled Epstein: Most every noted person who has been linked to him has repeatedly denied they knew anything about his sexual crimes. The birthday book shows that many of them at least knew very well that his greatest interest lay in the sexual conquest of women.

Another submission from Nathan Myhrvold, a wealthy patent broker and former chief technology officer at Microsoft, praised Epstein for his “silly and salacious” side and attached a “few photos that I took on my recent trip to Africa.” These included various pictures of lions and zebras having sex and a monkey’s erect penis.

“They seemed more appropriate than anything I could put in words,” Myhrvold, who has denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, wrote.

Former Harvard University dean Henry Rosovsky, who died in 2022, gave Epstein an image of a “Tit Print,” an image of a woman’s naked breast transposed by paint onto paper.

“For the man who has almost everything — but never enough of these!” Rosovsky wrote.

In the same vein, a letter signed “Leslie” in a section of the book attributed to Lesley Wexner, the retail billionaire who employed Epstein as his financial manager for 30 years, submitted a drawing of a woman’s nude breasts.

“I wanted to get you what you want … so here it is …” Wexner wrote above the drawing. Wexner has long denied that he knew anything about Epstein’s crimes and claimed that Epstein stole millions from him after Epstein’s indictment in 2019.

A poem attributed to Leon Black, the co-founder of the hedge fund Apollo Advisors whom Epstein worked with, describes Epstein as a collector of all kinds of women: “Blonde, Red or Brunette, spread out geographically / With this net of fish, Jeff’s now ‘The Old Man and The Sea.’” Black stepped down from his position at Apollo amid fallout from his relationship with Epstein in 2019, but claimed that he “was completely unaware of, and [was] deeply troubled by, the conduct that is now the subject of the federal criminal charges brought against Mr. Epstein.”

“It’s no secret that Jeffrey appreciates beautiful women,” Bill Elkus, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist, wrote. “But not many people know that he can create them out of thin air ― at least he did in Iowa in 1988.”

Elkus then recounted a story about a beautiful woman approaching Epstein in a small town in Iowa and being whisked off into his world.

“I’ll admit to wondering at the time whether Jeffrey somehow arranged the whole episode through some long distance escort service,” Elkus wrote. “But the following week I happened to be in Manhattan and Jeffrey asked me to give her a ride back in our company plane, giving me a chance to speak with her for a few hours. She was the real McCoy.”

Elkus told The New York Times that the letter was meant as a joke.

Stories from Epstein’s friends from his youth, rather than the business elites he ran with in middle age, told some more lascivious stories, including explicit accounts of sexual acts with unnamed women, who are usually described in demeaning and mocking fashion.

One such letter from an unidentified friend describes Epstein bringing a frightened hotel maid into the room while his friend was having sex with another woman. Another letter from a friend from London recounts a story of a night on the town with Epstein where the friend and another person put their hands down the same woman’s underwear.

A letter from an Epstein childhood friend, identified as Johnny Boy, starts off with a crude description of Epstein’s conception.

“You really have had a pretty amazing life,” Johnny Boy wrote. “Amazing because of where and when it started. Paula and Seymour fucking.” He continued on to describe how he imagined the couple had figured out the mechanics of sex, going into graphic detail.

Johnny Boy recounted when Epstein lost his virginity and described numerous conquests with women. He praised Epstein’s “don’t give a shit attitude, your calculated aloofness, your sense of humor and most importantly that confidence came to you early on.”

“You began to realize that you could get away with shit!” Johnny Boy wrote. “That chicks and people in general were schmucks!”

Then there are the stories and pictures that recall the accusations of grooming and sex trafficking that led to Epstein’s arrest.

One former unidentified girlfriend recounted how her love affair with Epstein began after massaging Maxwell, who then recruited her to massage Epstein.

“I received a call from Ghislaine, who I had worked on (massaged) twice in the last few months, to work on her ‘employer,’” the letter recounts. “He is a business man and wants you to work on his feet at his desk.”

She recalls that she “worked on your feet while you in an armchair watched me and Ghislaine worked on your shoulders.” Epstein gave her a “squinched eye” look and “moaned.” Afterwards, Epstein asked her to join him and Ghislaine on a trip to Florida. She couldn’t go, but the two later connected and shared a love affair. She included a picture of her butt in a thong along with the letter.

And then there are the birthday wishes from Epstein’s “assistants.” One unidentified woman signs her letter: “Sending you lots and lots and lots of love, hugs and kisses always.” Another includes a picture of her with Epstein’s arms wrapped around from behind in front of one of his planes. Her submission also includes pictures of her in a bikini with the missive, “thought you might like… …some bikini shots!”

A poem submitted for the book from Stuart Pivar, the chemist and art collector who was close to Andy Warhol, perhaps sums up how well everyone in this elite circle knew about Epstein’s criminal predilections. That’s in no small part because Pivar knew who Epstein was when he wrote.

In a 2019 interview with Mother Jones, Pivar claimed that, while allegations that Epstein ran a sex ring for powerful elites are “calumnies and lies,” his former friend suffered from an “incredible sickness” of “perversion” that led him to pursue sex with underage girls. In the interview, he corroborated artist Maria Farmer’s account of sexual assault by Epstein against herself and her younger sister, stating that she told him soon after it happened in 1996.

Pivar claimed he ended his friendship with Epstein sometime soon after this revelation, but apparently still took the time to submit a revealing note for his 50th birthday in 2003: “Jeffrey at half a century, with credentials plenipotentiary, though up to no good whenever he could, has avoided the penitentiary.”
