Lava has confirmed that its mid-range Storm Play 5G and Storm Play Lite 5G will launch in India on 13 June. Notably, the original Lava Storm was launched in 2023 and the new phones will now be aiming to revive that brand in the Indian market.

Lava Storm Play and Lava Storm Play Lite 5G:

Lava Storm Play will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor and will be paired with LDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Leaks suggest that it could feature a 6.78 inch 120Hz display and feature a 50MP primary shooter to the back.

The teaser image shown by Lava show a blue colour variant with a white stripe in the middle and two circular camera module and flash. The right hand side of the phone will host the power button and volume rockers.

Meanwhile, the Storm Lite is leaked to get a 6.78 inch 120Hz LCD display with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor which is the successor to last year's MediaTek Dimensity 6300 that was seen in a number of budget phones last year. Notably, this is the first time that the new MediaTek Dimensity processor will be seen in India.

The teaser image for Storm Lite shows off the phone in a golden whitish colour with a squiricle camera island featuring two circular lenses with golden coating around the rings and a flash beside them. There is also a 50MP branding below the flash, suggesting that the Storm Lite could also pack the similar primary sensor as its elder sibling.

Both the Storm Play and Storm Lite will be available to buy from Lava's E-store and Amazon.

While there is no clarity on the pricing of the Lava Storm Play and Storm Lite yet, it would be a good guess to assume that these phones are likely to be in the sub- 20,000 price bracket.
