US President Donald Trump has once again warned Iranian forces personnel to lay down their arms, offering them immunity in exchange for supporting the Iranian people, or face “guaranteed death."
Trump called on Iran’s security forces – including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), military personnel, and police – to choose what he described as “the right side of history," warning that continuing to fight would result in their deaths.
“I’m once again calling on all members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the military, and the police to lay down their arms. They are only going to be killed. And now is the time to stand up for the Iranian people and help take back your country… Accept immunity; we will give you immunity… or you will face absolutely guaranteed death…" he said as reported by news agency ANI.

The US President further appealed to Iranian diplomats stationed around the world to seek asylum and assist in shaping what he described as “a new and better Iran."
“We also urge Iranian diplomats around the world to request asylum and to help us shape a new and better Iran with great potential… The United States will ensure that whoever leads the country next, Iran will not threaten America or its neighbours," he added.
Earlier on Thursday, Trump stressed that he needs to be personally involved in selecting Iran’s next leader – just like he was in Venezuela – after joint US-Israeli strikes on February 28 killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Trump acknowledged that Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Khamenei, is the most likely successor, but made it clear that he finds the outcome unacceptable. “They are wasting their time. Khamenei’s son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela," he said.
Earlier, Trump indicated that the White House had considered multiple candidates for leadership but noted that some are now deceased. He suggested that a leader from within Iran might be more suitable, saying, “If there’s such a person, but we have people like that. We have people … more moderate."
