Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Monday shared a video montage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Malaysia, set to the popular Bollywood song ‘Bol Chudiya Bol Kangana’, underscoring the deep cultural connect between the two countries.
In his post on X, Anwar Ibrahim recapped the first day of PM Modi’s visit, writing that it began with a ceremonial welcome at the Bunga Raya Complex before the two leaders travelled to Seri Kembangan to interact with members of the Indian community.
“May the friendship between Malaysia and India, rooted in cultural, historical and economic ties that have been intertwined for centuries, continue to blossom and strengthen for mutual benefit," he said.

The video showcased key moments from PM Modi’s engagements, highlighting people-to-people ties and the warmth of bilateral relations.

Earlier, while addressing a community programme in Kuala Lumpur, PM Modi spoke about the strong cultural bonds between the two nations, noting the widespread appeal of Indian films and music in Malaysia.
He also praised Anwar Ibrahim’s fondness for Indian songs and his singing talent.
“Many people in India were pleasantly surprised when videos of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim singing an old Hindi song went viral. It is wonderful that he also loves Tamil songs of the legendary MGR," PM Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi was on an official visit to Malaysia from February 7 to 8, at the invitation of Anwar Ibrahim.
During the visit, the two leaders held bilateral talks covering a range of issues, including trade, investment and regional cooperation.
PM Modi also interacted with the Indian diaspora and met industry and business leaders, while the 10th India-Malaysia CEO Forum was held alongside the visit.
