Soon after landing in Rome, PM Modi met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for a dinner meeting aimed at strengthening India-Italy ties and discussing key global issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Rome on Tuesday for the final leg of his five-nation diplomatic tour.

The two leaders later visited Rome’s iconic Colosseum, where they were seen sharing candid moments and engaging in discussions against the backdrop of the historic monument.

Sharing glimpses from the evening on X, PM Modi said he looked forward to continuing discussions with Giorgia Meloni on expanding cooperation and deepening the India-Italy friendship.

During his visit, PM Modi is also scheduled to hold formal talks with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and visit the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization, reaffirming India’s focus on multilateral cooperation and global food security.

PM Modi interacted with members of the Indian community in Rome, with cultural performances and traditional greetings marking his arrival in the Italian capital.
