The White House on Monday shared a cryptic post featuring US President Donald Trump, captioned “LOCKED IN MODE: ACTIVATED 🔥 It’s Monday. No excuses. Just wins. 🦅", as uncertainty persists over Iran-related talks.

The post showed Trump wearing a UFC-style championship belt, overlaid with prompts such as “Do Not Disturb", “Work", “Sleep" and “Lock In", resembling a smartphone focus-mode interface.

After returning to office in 2025, Trump has made several high-profile appearances at UFC events, underlining his long-standing ties with the sport and its president Dana White. He was seen cageside at a UFC event in Miami in April 2025, drawing attention for his interactions with fighters.

In June 2025, the US President also attended UFC 316 in New Jersey. More recently, in April 2026, Trump appeared at another UFC event in Miami, where his ringside exchange with fighter Paulo Costa went viral. These appearances come as Trump plans to host a fight card at the White House in June 2026 as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

The post comes as Iran insisted it has no plan to attend a new round of negotiations with the United States on Monday.

Trump said he was sending negotiators to Pakistan for talks aimed at ending the conflict, while warning that Iran’s energy infrastructure could be targeted if a deal is not reached.

Earlier talks in Islamabad this month ended without an agreement, and both sides have since accused each other of violating the ceasefire. Tensions escalated further after the United States seized an Iranian cargo ship, which Trump said was attempting to evade a naval blockade.

“We have no plans for the next round of negotiation, and no decision has been made in this regard," said foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei.

“While claiming diplomacy and readiness for negotiations, the US is carrying out behaviours that do not in any way indicate seriousness in pursuing a diplomatic process," he added, calling the US blockade and cargo ship seizure “clear violations of the ceasefire".

Iran has accused the United States of breaching the two-week truce through its naval actions and warned of retaliation, while Washington maintains that Tehran has violated the ceasefire in the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping route it has largely restricted.

The counter-claims have thrown into fresh doubt the bid to end the war that began with US-Israeli strikes on Iran the morning of February 28.
