Iran has warned neighbouring countries, especially those hosting American military bases and infrastructure, that the time for “restraint is over”.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday said it would target US and allied infrastructure across the region and threatened to disrupt oil and gas supplies “for years".
The warning comes as US President Donald Trump’s ultimatum for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz looms. During a press conference on Monday, he threatened to take out Iran “in one night" if Tehran does not comply. On Tuesday morning, hours before the deadline, he said “a whole civilisation will be wiped out tonight", signalling an escalation.
The remarks also come as the US carried out strikes on Kharg Island. Officials told American media that military sites on the island — a crucial crude oil export hub — were targeted.
The IRGC said it would retaliate beyond West Asia and deprive Washington and its allies of oil and gas if the United States crosses “red lines", according to a statement carried on Iranian state television.
“The Revolutionary Guards once again declare that if the American terrorist army crosses the red lines, our response will go beyond the region," the statement said.
It added that the Guards — Iran’s ideological military force — would target infrastructure “to deprive the United States and its allies of oil and gas in the region for years".
“America’s regional partners should also know that until today, we have exercised great restraint for the sake of good neighbourliness and have had some reservations in choosing targets for retaliation, but all these reservations have since been removed," it said.
