The Pentagon has released the names of four of the six service members who were killed in the Iran war and stated that they died in a drone strike in Kuwait. The four Army Reserve soldiers were killed on Sunday when a drone hit a command centre in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, just a day after the US and Israel launched its military campaign against Iran.

The four soldiers ranged in age from 20 to 42 and served in the 103rd Sustainment Command from Des Moines, Iowa, part of the army’s global logistics and supply operation.

The four Army Reserve soldiers are identified as:

  • Captain Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida.
  • Sargeant 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
  • Sargeant 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
  • Sargeant Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa

Major General Todd Erskine, who leads the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, in a statement, extended his deepest sympathy and respect to relatives and unit members of the four.

Trump Warns Iran

President Donald Trump and other senior officials have warned that the Iran conflict will result in more US military deaths as Tehran retaliates against US and Israeli strikes.

The US Central Command has said that it struck nearly 2,000 targets since the beginning of Operation Epic Fury. As many as 17 Iranian naval ships, including one submarine, have also been sunk in its campaign against Iran, according to the US military.

The US military’s Central Command said on Tuesday that Iran has launched over 500 ballistic missiles and over 2,000 drones in its retaliatory attacks throughout the Middle East so far.

“Now, we’re less than 100 hours into this operation, and we’ve already struck nearly 2,000 targets with more than 2,000 munitions. We have severely degraded Iran’s air defences and destroyed hundreds of Iran’s ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones," said Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of United States Central Command.
