A sit-in protest demanding justice for the killing of activist Kalash Kohli entered its second day in Badin district of Sindh, with protesters vowing not to disperse until those responsible are arrested.

According to a statement shared by activist Shiva Kachhi, the protest has been ongoing without pause, reflecting what organisers described as growing anger and frustration among residents. The demonstration, which began at 10 am on Wednesday, continued through the night and resumed into Thursday, underscoring the determination of the protesters.

Men, women, elderly people and children were seen participating in the sit-in, braving harsh conditions to press for action. Protesters said the agitation represents a broader outcry against what they allege is a system that protects the powerful while marginalising the poor and vulnerable.

Kalash Kohli’s killing, the statement said, has shaken the community, with his family particularly his mother and widow left in grief and anguish. Protest organisers stressed that the protest would not end until the killers are arrested, warning authorities that the movement would continue to intensify if their demands are ignored.

“This sit-in will not end until the killers are arrested. This movement will not stop until justice is delivered," the statement said, adding that the struggle for justice for Kalash Kohli would continue.
