As the Iran war continues, the global leaders are eagerly waiting for the results of US-Iran and France-Lebanon that are scheduled to take place on Monday. Meanwhile, the Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has issued a stern naval warning a day after Iran’s central military command announced a new closure in response to a US blockade of Iranian ports.

US Sends Negotiators

President Donald Trump announced that US negotiators will be in Pakistan on Monday to resume talks to end war with Iran. Along with this, he once again threatened to destroy its power plants and bridges if no deal is reached. While previously it was announced that Vice President JD Vance will lead the US delegation for talks with Iran in Pakistan, later Trump said he won’t be joining due to security issues.

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign ministry said the continuing US naval blockade on Iranian ports was a violation of the ceasefire as well as an “unlawful and criminal" act.

Lebanon PM to Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron will on Tuesday hold meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Paris. This was a day after a French peacekeeper was killed in Lebanon amid a fragile 10-day truce between Israel and Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.

Israel warns ‘full force’

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that his military will use “full force" in Lebanon even during the ongoing ceasefire if Hezbollah threatened them.

The Israeli army death toll in the six-week war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon is now 15, according to an AFP tally based on military figures. The Israeli military published for the first time a map of its new deployment line inside Lebanon on Sunday, bringing dozens of mostly abandoned Lebanese villages under its control, days after a ceasefire with Hezbollah took effect.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s military said it has reopened a road and bridge between the city of Nabatieh and Khardali that was damaged by Israeli strikes.

Situation In Iran

Iran’s civil aviation authority said international flights will resume from Mashhad airport in the country’s northeast on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz remained closed on Sunday. US President Donald Trump responded by cautioning Tehran against using the strategic waterway as leverage. “We’re talking to them. They wanted to close up the strait again — you know, as they’ve been doing for years — and they can’t blackmail us," he said at a White House event.

“We are still far from the final discussion," Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, one of Iran’s negotiators, said in a televised address. “We made progress in the negotiations, but there are many gaps and some fundamental points remain."
