Multiple law enforcement officers have been shot in southern Virginia, said US Congressman John McGuire on Wednesday. McGuire said his thoughts and prayers were with deputies shot in Pittsylvania County, as pictures showed a large number of parked police and emergency response vehicles.

According to a public official who was briefed on the situation but asked not to be named, warrants were being served at a home when the shooting took place, according to KGNS TV.
