Sleeping On The Job? Prison Guard On Duty During Epstein’s Death To Be Questioned

The House Oversight Committee has summoned guard Tova Noel for a March 26 interview in their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's death.

The House Oversight Committee has asked one of the prison guards on duty when sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died to appear on March 26 for a transcribed interview, according to a report by Axios.

Oversight Chairman James Comer requested that the guard, Tova Noel, appear before the panel, marking the latest step in the committee’s months-long investigation into the case linked to the late sex offender and his trafficking network.

The probe has involved depositions from several high-profile individuals connected to Epstein, among them Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The Epstein Files

Last year, the United States Justice Department and FBI concluded after a probe that they have no evidence to suggest Epstein blackmailed powerful figures, kept a “client list" or was murdered.

Following this, Reps. Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna introduced the Epstein Files Transparency Act, paving way for the release of millions of files linked to the investigation into the network of Jeffrey Epstein.

The two guards, who were on duty at the time of Epstein’s death, were accused of sleeping and browsing the internet instead of making their required rounds, according to the Axios report.

Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted in 2008 of soliciting a minor, died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

As per media reports, he maintained ties with a range of high-profile figures, including political leaders, business tycoons and celebrities during his lifetime.

‘Do Not Believe He Died By Suicide’ 

Epsteins’ associate and his former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, told the DOJ in an interview last year that she believes Epstein was murdered.

“I do not believe he died by suicide, no," Maxwell said in an interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
