US President Donald Trump on Monday claimed that the United States is “winning a war by a lot," while launching a sharp attack on major American media outlets for what he described as misleading coverage.
In a post on his social media platform, Trump said US military operations were going “very well" and credited the armed forces for their performance. He alleged that reports from outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post painted an inaccurate picture of the situation.

“If you read the Fake News… you would actually think we are losing the war," Trump wrote, adding that the “enemy is confused" due to such reporting.
The president claimed that the opposing side’s naval forces had been “completely wiped out" and that its air force capabilities had been severely degraded. He also asserted that the ongoing US blockade was having a major economic impact, alleging losses of $500 million per day.
Trump further said the blockade would remain in place until a deal is reached, stressing that Washington would not ease pressure prematurely.
In a strongly worded section of his post, Trump accused sections of the US media of being “anti-America" and claimed they were rooting for Iran to succeed—an allegation he has made repeatedly in the past.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the region and ongoing uncertainty over potential negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Trump maintained that the situation is under control and concluded by asserting that the outcome of the conflict is already decided.
