Donald Trump congratulated Dina Powell McCormick on Truth Social after she was named Meta president by Mark Zuckerberg, highlighting her government and Goldman Sachs experience.

US President Donald Trump on Monday congratulated Dina Powell McCormick after she was named the new president of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram.

Powell served as the deputy national security adviser for strategy from 2017 to 2018 in the President’s first term

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump praised the appointment, calling it “a great choice" by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

“Congratulations to Dina Powell McCormick, who has just been named the new president of Meta," Trump wrote. “She is a fantastic, and very talented person, who served the Trump Administration with strength and distinction."

Who Is Dina Powell McCornick?

Dina Powell McCormick is a former senior US government official and corporate executive. She served as deputy national security adviser for strategy under Trump, where she was involved in key foreign policy initiatives, including Middle East diplomacy and US engagement with regional allies.

Before her role in government, Powell McCormick built a long career in the private sector, holding senior leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on global sovereign investment strategy and public-private partnerships. She later returned to the firm after leaving the White House.

She is married to David McCormick, a Republican senator from Pennsylvania and former CEO of Bridgewater Associates. Powell McCormick’s appointment to a top leadership role at Meta has drawn attention due to her blend of government, finance and policy experience.
