US President Donald Trump fell back on his favourite punishment - tariffs - on Saturday, to push back against countries that are opposing his bid to take over Greenland.
Trump said in a post on X that starting 1 February, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland will be charged 10% tariff on all goods they export to the United States.
On 1 June, the tariffs will be increased to 25%, the US President said in his post.
"This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland," Trump has proclaimed.
This is a developing story. Check back later for more details.
