US President Donald Trump on Thursday sharply criticized former counterterrorism official Joe Kent and conservative commentator Tucker Carlson in a lengthy Truth Social post.

He intensified his attacks on Tucker and Kent, who were once part of his political circle, questioning who’s dumber?

In the post, Trump recounted his first meeting with Kent at Dover Air Force Base, where families of fallen US service members had gathered and referred to Kent’s personal loss during the war. He later described his act of kindness, saying he supported Kent and gave him a role in the White House after his unsuccessful congressional bids in Washington state.

However, Trump said that despite this support, Kent was disloyal and termed him a “sleazebag".

“I certainly didn’t expect disloyalty, but that’s what I got. He was really a SLEAZEBAG, and some would say, on top of it all, A LEAKER! I don’t know whether or not that was true, but next time, NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! Kent is a LOSER, just like Tucker, Candace, Megyn, and the rest of them are LOSERS — You’re born that way, LOW IQ, and there’s not a damn thing they’re going to be able to do about it!" Trump wrote in the post on Truth Social.

The comments underscore widening rifts within Trump-aligned conservative circles, as tensions grow between political figures and media personalities ahead of a key election cycle.

In recent months, Trump has increasingly taken aim at former allies, signaling a more aggressive and confrontational stance toward dissent within his broader base of support.
