US President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social that the Strait of Hormuz is “completely open and ready for business and full passage," while also saying that a naval blockade related to Iran would remain in effect until the peace deal with Tehran is fully completed.

In the post, Trump wrote, “THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS COMPLETELY OPEN AND READY FOR BUSINESS AND FULL PASSAGE," adding that the blockade “will remain in full force and effect as it pertains to Iran, only, until such time as our transaction with Iran is 100% complete."

He further said the process “should go very quickly" and suggested that “most of the points are already negotiated," without providing additional details on any formal agreement or framework being referenced.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important energy chokepoints, through which a significant portion of global oil and gas shipments pass. Any disruption or restriction in the waterway is closely monitored by global markets due to its potential impact on energy prices and supply chains.
