Iran-US War: US President Donald Trump has vowed to continue the “righteous mission" against Iran, until “all objectives are achieved", adding there will likely be more US troop deaths in the operation as fighting across the Middle East intensifies.

In a video message shared on Truth Social, the US President asserted that the US will “avenge" the deaths of three US service members who were killed amid the ongoing conflict between the US-Israel and Iran.

“As one nation, we grieve for the true American patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice. America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war against, basically, civilisation," Trump said in the video statement shared on Truth Social.

Trump said combat operations were continuing “in full force" and could last around four weeks. “Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends," he added.

Trump earlier told the Daily Mail in a phone interview Sunday that the US troops who were killed were “great people." “You know, we expect that to happen, unfortunately," Trump told the newspaper. “Could happen continuous — it could happen again."

The US military’s Central Command said in a statement on Sunday that US troops suffered additional, less serious injuries as well.

“Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions – and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing," Central Command said in a statement on X.

Trump, who has framed the war as necessary to prevent Iran from developing long-range missiles and nuclear weapons, again called on Iranian security forces to lay down their arms, offering immunity in exchange.

He offered amnesty to Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members, the Iranian military and police who “lay down" their arms. If they do not, they will face “certain death", he said.

He also again called on “Iranian patriots who yearn for freedom to seize this moment to be brave, be bold, be heroic, and take back your country".

“I made a promise to you, and I fulfilled that promise," Trump said. “The rest will be up to you. We’ll be there to help".

Iran has retaliated with missile and drone strikes across the region, hitting targets in Israel and several Gulf states that host US forces, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. At least nine people were reported killed in Israel, while casualties were also reported in the Gulf.

The US military said it had destroyed the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a powerful force tasked with safeguarding the country’s clerical system and exerting influence over its military and economy. US Central Command said the IRGC “no longer has a headquarters."

Iranian leaders have vowed further retaliation. President Masoud Pezeshkian called Khamenei’s killing a “declaration of war," saying Tehran had a legitimate right to avenge the attack. Senior official Ali Larijani warned of strikes “with a force that they have never experienced before."
