The US-Israel jointly attacked Iran on 28 February in which Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed. US President Donald Trump named it ‘Operation Epic Fury' calling this military strike a “major combat operation” in a post on Truth Social while Israel named it ‘Operation Roaring Lion.’ The strikes targeted key Iranian military sites, including missile facilities, naval bases and locations near Khamenei’s office.
Thereafter, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched retaliatory strikes under ‘Operation True Promise 4.’ To revenge the death of its Supreme Leader, Iran attacked US military bases, consulates and embassies across the Gulf region.
