Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ release stalled: Madras HC sets aside single-judge order, calls for fresh certification hearing

The Madras High Court on Tuesday allowed an appeal filed by the CBFC against a single-judge order that had granted a ‘UA’ certificate to Jana Nayagan, starring TVK chief Vijay, according to news agency ANI.

The Division Bench noted that the CBFC should have been given time to file a counter-affidavit and, on that basis, remanded the matter for a fresh hearing, while granting liberty to the producer to amend the relief sought in the writ petition.
