‘We've Got Our Eye On All Of Them’: Trump Claims US Monitoring Iranian Sleeper Cells

Donald Trump said US authorities are monitoring suspected Iranian sleeper cells amid the military campaign against Iran.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that American authorities are aware of suspected Iranian sleeper cells inside the United States and are closely monitoring them, as the ongoing military campaign against Iran enters its second week.

While speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, the US President said that he had been briefed on the issue after being asked about the number of possible Iranian sleeper cells in the country.

“I have been, and a lot of people came in through Biden with his stupid open border, but we know where most of them are. We’ve got our eye on all of them," Trump said, criticising immigration policies under former President Joe Biden.

The comments came amid heightened security concerns in the United States following American and Israeli military operations against Iran. The campaign, which began on February 28 with large-scale air strikes, has intensified tensions across the region.

Trump also referred to reports of a potential retaliation plot involving drones that could be launched from offshore vessels near California. “Yes, that’s being investigated, but you have a lot of things happening and all we can do is take them as they come," he said.

Last month, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a confidential bulletin warning law enforcement agencies about the possibility that Tehran could attempt surprise drone attacks in California in response to potential US strikes. The alert was circulated through the multi-agency Los Angeles Joint Regional Intelligence Center and urged authorities to remain vigilant.

U.S. officials have also reported intercepting encrypted communications believed to originate from Iran and intended for clandestine recipients inside the United States. Authorities said the content of the transmissions could not yet be determined but asked law enforcement to increase monitoring of suspicious radio-frequency activity.

Meanwhile, the military campaign against Iran—named Operation Epic Fury—has continued to escalate. Speaking earlier to supporters in Kentucky, Trump claimed the United States had effectively secured victory early in the conflict, saying, “We won. We won, in the first hour it was over."
