A 31-year-old man from Torrance, California has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting incident that disrupted the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The suspect is in custody and is hospitalized, officials said. He has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen of Torrance, three sources told CBS News. He had a shotgun and handgun on him, according to two sources familiar with the investigation.
Laura Loomer also identified the suspect as Cole Tomas Allen.

President Donald Trump said Saturday he believes the suspected shooter who stormed the White House correspondents’ dinner was a “lone wolf."
“In my opinion, he was a lone wolf," Trump said, describing the man as a “whack job" and saying he felt there was no reason to believe the attack was connected to the war in Iran.
