Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday said Tehran remains open to dialogue, but accused its adversaries of undermining negotiations through threats and hostile actions.
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said Iran has “always welcomed and continues to welcome dialogue and agreement," but warned that “bad faith, siege, and threats" remain the main barriers to meaningful talks.
He also criticised what he described as contradictions between the rhetoric and actions of opposing sides, saying the world is witnessing “hypocritical empty talk" that undermines trust.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, with efforts underway to revive negotiations even as disputes over sanctions, blockades and military activity persist.
Iran has repeatedly stated that it is willing to engage diplomatically, but insists that talks must take place without coercion or pressure.
