Iran ceasefire plan in Farsi mentions acceptance of nuclear enrichment, missing in English version, as Trump demands dismantling, unresolved uranium and China role loom over talks

Iran’s Farsi-language version of its 10-point ceasefire proposal includes a reference to “acceptance of enrichment" for its nuclear programme, a phrase that was not present in English versions shared by Iranian diplomats with journalists.
It was not immediately clear why the term was omitted from the English version.
The discrepancy comes amid continued disagreement over Iran’s nuclear programme, which US President Donald Trump has said must be fully dismantled. Trump had earlier described Iran’s 10-point proposal as “fraudulent," without elaborating.

Uranium Issue Remains Unresolved
The fate of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile remains a key unresolved issue following the ceasefire, with the US maintaining that preventing Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon was a central objective of the conflict.
President Donald Trump said the nuclear material would be addressed as part of any final agreement but did not provide specifics.
“That will be perfectly taken care of, or I wouldn’t have settled," he said.
The ceasefire comes after more than a month of US and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets, alongside diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan to broker a temporary truce.

China Role And Upcoming Talks
Trump also indicated that China may have played a role in bringing Iran to the negotiating table.
“I hear yes," he said when asked if Beijing was involved in persuading Tehran to agree to the truce.
Trump is scheduled to travel to Beijing in mid-May for talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, in what is expected to be a key meeting between the two countries.
The visit had initially been planned for early April but was postponed as Trump remained in Washington to oversee developments related to the Iran conflict.
China remains a key partner of Iran and a major buyer of its oil, much of which passes through the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, Beijing has strong economic ties with Gulf nations and has previously criticised attacks on them linked to Iran.
