Critics broke out the tiny violins over Fox News host and former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s dramatic claim about Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
McEnany argued on Monday’s episode of “The Five” that ICE agents are now “the most traumatized federal worker.”
She was responding to California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) new law banning local and federal law enforcement officers from wearing face masks while on duty in order to protect citizens from what Newsom has called “secret police” tactics amid Donald Trump’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants.
On social media, commenters begged to differ with McEnany’s assertion with many tweaking her remark to calling the agents the “most traumatizing.”
