Addressing Trump, Hamidi urged them not to pursue any deal with Tehran, arguing that diplomacy would lead to a betrayal of those who lost their lives during the protests.

An Iranian man from the southern port city of Bushehr has reportedly taken his own life after posting a video message appealing to US President Donald Trump to abandon any diplomatic engagement with Iran’s ruling establishment, according to local media reports.

The man, identified by activists and Iranian media as Pouria Hamidi, recorded a roughly 10-minute video in English that circulated widely on social media over the weekend.

In the recording, Hamidi sought to draw international attention to what he described as a violent crackdown on recent anti-government protests in Iran and urged foreign intervention against the clerical leadership.

“America attacking Iran is the only hope we have right now," said Pouria Hamidi, an Iranian man from Bushehr, adding, “We can’t fight this regime alone. Our people need foreign intervention."Hamidi delivered the remarks in a 10-minute English-language video addressed to… pic.twitter.com/j2MKjqqA9R

At the start of the video, Hamidi suggested he might no longer be alive by the time it was viewed.

He claimed that tens of thousands of people had been killed during the unrest, alleging mass casualties during protests that erupted earlier this year.

He said the video was meant to highlight what he called a “massacre" by Iranian authorities, though these claims could not be independently verified.

Addressing US leaders directly, Hamidi urged them not to pursue any agreement with Tehran, arguing that diplomacy would amount to a betrayal of those who lost their lives during the protests.

“Please, do whatever you can to stop this deal," he said, adding that protesters had continued demonstrations, believing international pressure would follow.

Hamidi argued that ordinary Iranians were unable to confront an armed state apparatus on their own and claimed that only foreign intervention, specifically by the United States, could bring change.

“We can’t fight this regime alone. Our people need foreign intervention," he said in the video.

He also criticised Iran’s religious leadership, voiced support for exiled royal figure Reza Pahlavi as a potential leader of a transitional government, and called on opposition groups abroad to unite.

Describing widespread despair, Hamidi said many Iranians felt they had no future and that hope among the population had been exhausted.

CNN-News18 could not independently verify the authenticity of the video or confirm the circumstances surrounding Hamidi’s death.

The incident comes amid reports that Iranian authorities have largely quelled nationwide protests through a forceful crackdown. While official figures have not been released, international media reports, including an estimate by Reuters, have suggested that thousands may have been killed during the unrest.
