A special flight carrying around 200 passengers from Jeddah landed in Ahmedabad amid ongoing unrest in West Asia following Iranian strikes targeting Gulf nations.
Scenes of jubilation emerged at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport as families reunited after spending nights in fear and panic. With tears in their eyes and smiles on their lips, family members embraced each other upon arriving in their motherland.

An IndiGo flight that left for Jeddah from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Tuesday morning, March 3, returned by late night, carrying around 200 Indian citizens.
Earlier, in a post on ‘X’, the airline announced, “As part of our efforts to progressively normalize our operations between Saudi Arabia and India, we will be operating four dedicated flights from Jeddah tomorrow, 3rd March 2026, to: Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad".
