US President Donald Trump responded sharply to the release of newly unsealed files related to Jeffrey Epstein, claiming that author Michael Wolff and Epstein had “conspired to harm" him. He further threatened to sue Wolff, as well as the estate of late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and claimed the latest tranche of documents related to Epstein absolves him.

While speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said, “We’ll probably sue Wolff on it. And maybe the Epstein estate, I guess. I don’t know, but we’re certainly gonna sue him."

The President accused Wolff, who wrote an unauthorised biography on him, of “conspiring" with Epstein in an effort to derail his political career. “Writer Wolff, along with Epstein were conspiring to harm me," he added.

“Wolff, who’s a third-rate writer, was conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to hurt me politically or otherwise and that came through loud and clear," Trump said. “So we’ll probably sue Wolf on that … Maybe the Epstein estate, I guess. I don’t know. But we’ll certainly sue Wolff."

Notably, Author Michael Wolff, last year in October, sued first lady Melania Trump, charging that she threatened a $1 billion legal action against him to stop him from reporting and writing about her alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Meanwhile, there is mounting pressure on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Britain’s scandal-hit former prince whose royal status was revoked by his brother King Charles III, to testify before a US committee investigating the extent of the crimes of convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein.

A second woman has alleged that she was flown to the UK by Epstein for a sexual encounter with then-Prince Andrew at his Royal Lodge residence on the Windsor Castle estate back in 2010.

Andrew, who has consistently denied wrongdoing, is yet to comment on the latest accusations.
